The woman says to me today ‘let’s go to dinner’. We have two small children. Every time we go out anywhere the kids get restless and just want to run around the building. Tonight they were playing with their friends and having a great time. I didn’t want to end the kids fun so I offered to get takeout, but Natalie really likes going out to restaurants. She says to me ‘You don’t get the full experience with takeout’. It was obvious that she wanted to get out of the house. We sent the friends home and packed the kids up. Aubrey through a fit over nothing. I spent a few minutes getting that resolved. Mackenzie was fantastic as typical. We got to the place and got seated and within 3 minutes the kids were making messes, sliding under the table, climbing on the table and basically being the kids I didn’t want to go out to dinner with. As I’m picking my three year old off the floor and trying to get her back in the seat when my wife says ‘kids, you’re proving your dad right’. I live for the day when my kids can enjoy a nice restaurant and act normal.
